Forest Management

Individual trees and forests play a very important role and we want to preserve them as best we can for the future. We focus on the rejuvenation of our forests and on keeping the current trees alive. We don’t mow the grass under the trees, we leave fallen leaves where possible, and we limit treading on the delicate roots.

Ongoing climate change poses a real challenge to the future management of our trees. A solid inventory of more than 3,000 trees provides necessary insight into the current stock of trees. Every year, we assess the health of the trees by means of an app we developed ourselves. This forms the basis for carrying out maintenance, pruning, and planting.
