Belgian flora

 A lifeline for native flora 

Meise Botanic Garden houses the only seed bank in Belgium. One of its main objectives is the conservation of endangered and rare wild species of Belgian flora. Seeds from more than 1,000 populations of around 600 species (about half of all Belgian red list species) are preserved.  

Many plant species are under pressure. We are still collecting new species. Collecting seeds requires a lot of manpower and resources. Your donation can help us.
