Wild greenery!
Flora
Cuckoo flower, goldenveil, rattle, broad-leaved marsh orchids, and common reed orchids; you will find almost 600 species of wild plants in the Botanic Garden. That is more than a third of all the wild plants in Belgium. Furthermore, 151 species of leaf mosses, 20 species of liverworts, and 175 species of lichens thrive in our estate.
The flora here is very typical for old castle estates. In spring, wood anemones, primroses, and violets colour the forest floor in bright shades of white, yellow, and blue. Then it is the turn of wild garlic to form a brilliant white carpet.
