Reference collection

Title: One seed is not like another!

A reference collection is an important tool for identifying seeds correctly. Meise Botanic Garden has a reference collection of seeds from approximately 2,500 plant species. The plants from which the seeds originate were identified by specialists and there is often a corresponding herbarium specimen that can be consulted in case of doubt. 

In addition, these seeds are also important for scientific research.
