Dendrological Treasure Chest

The Dendrological Treasure Chest, a special part of the arboretum, is situated in between Wild Meise and the Rose Garden. There you can find lots of dendrological curiosities; rare tree species. This location used to be a tree nursery and, by specifically removing and preserving certain trees, spaces were created with their own microclimate. This makes it a perfect place for the spur-leaf (Tetracentron sinense) and the wheel wingnut (Cyclocarya paliurus), among others.
