So much more than a park!
Meise Botanic Garden
The present estate is a living witness to a particularly rich history of two medieval castle domains, each of which was transformed into an English landscape garden in the 19th century. In 1879, King Leopold II combined them into one large estate for his sister Empress Charlotte, who had it embellished.
We take you past ancient trees, sloping roads, woodland interspersed with meadows, ponds, and spontaneous nature that was able to develop here undisturbed for centuries. Meise Botanic Garden manages this gem in a sustainable way for all future generations.
