No Wonder Weekend at the botanic garden in 2024

In recent years, Wonderweekend has invariably attracted thousands of families to the botanic garden in late August to enjoy surprise acts, children's activities, performances and an overnight stay in the middle of nature.
What started in 2016 with an idea by some fathers to camp in the botanic garden grew into a family festival with more than 7 000 visitors every year. Unfortunately, this year the decision fell on Wonderweekend vzw to discontinue the festival due to financial reasons and so Wonderweekend will not continue in 2024.
For the future, Meise Botanic Garden is looking at all possibilities to continue this initiative in some form.
