Looking for a way to relax while unleashing your creativity at the same time? Join our ‘Botanical printmaking on fabric’ workshops for the perfect solution. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in a soothing artistic experience. Whether you come alone for some much-needed ‘me-time’ or bring a friend or family member, this workshop promises to be a peaceful and enjoyable experience.

Practical info

  • Price: € 84

  • Saturday 4 June from 11am to 1.30pm.
  • Location: Botanic Garden Meise/Vlaamse Hoeve- hall Balsamina
  • Minimum age to participate: 16+
  • The workshop will take place in both English and Dutch. Zizi is still learning Dutch. She is not a native speaker of Dutch, therefore she may switch to English if necessary.

Included in the price:

  • During this 2.5-hour practical session, you will get the chance to make your own beautiful botanical prints.
  • You will get 10 pieces of fabric in cotton and linen, giving you enough canvas to let your creativity run wild.
  • And practice paper to learn how to mix colours and make prints for
  • All necessary paints and materials are provided, so you can dive straight into the artistic process.
  • To enrich your experience, you can choose from a wide selection of beautiful flowers and leaves to incorporate into your designs.

What do you bring?

  • Not every plant/flower gives a good print, but if you have something special, feel free to bring it along. Together with teacher Zizi you will look at the possibilities.
  • You will work with water-based paint. The paint usually washes out well after washing, but feel free to bring an apron to keep your clothes stain-free.
  • TIP: bring a rainproof folder to safely take your prints home.
